Our Fourth Assignment

Today we able to draw some pictures of ourselves and colorful pictures of our ideal salamanders ! We also took pictures of ourselves to use in our voicethread, which is really cool :) We were introduced to voicethread today for the first time. We had a lot of fun being able to talk into the microphone and record ourselves! After we recorded what we wanted to say, we were able to see some of our voicethread in action :) Here is our Voicethread project on our Salamander !

Our Third Assignment!

So today we were able to catch up on our blogs with all of our research so far. Today we also were able to look up all different kinds of Salamanders and save some images we would like to use on our voicethread ! We found some that are orange, yellow and black which are fire salamanders, really small ones, really big ones, and a picture of their life cycle! Here are a few websites that we found our pictures!

We think our project is coming a long very well considering that we found out a lot of information we did not know about our Salamander! It is a lot of fun to know more about animals you don't see everyday and researching how they live, where they come from, and what they look like!

Our Second Assignment!

Now that we have researched our animal, we have found some interesting facts!

Facts:


1.Some Salamanders can be as small as your pinky finger !
2. Some Salamanders can be as long as your arm !
3. If they are thrown into fire, they have long legs to help them run out and they will not die!
4. When they shed their skin, they eat it ! eewww ! And they also eat frogs ! amazing !
5. They can lay up to 5 to 500 eggs at a time !!
6. We also found out that since they can lay eggs, they are considered an Amphibian !
7. Some Salamanders have up to two legs and some do not have any legs at all !
8. We also found out that since they do not die in fire, they are called fire animals !
